This Privacy Policy explains how Taya Recipes (“Taya Recipes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you:

  • Contact us, comment on a recipe, or subscribe to communications;
  • Interact with advertising, analytics, or embedded services on our website; or
  • Connect to or use a Taya Recipes feature that communicates with Pinterest or another third-party platform.

This Privacy Policy also explains how the internal Taya Recipes Pinterest publishing integration uses information obtained through the Pinterest API.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Taya Recipes website and to tools operated by Taya Recipes, including our internal Pinterest content-publishing integration.

It does not apply to independent third-party websites, applications, or platforms that have their own privacy policies, including Pinterest and Google.

3. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

You may provide information to us when you:

  • Submit a contact form;
  • Comment on a recipe;
  • Subscribe to a newsletter;
  • Report an issue;
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; or

4. Taya Recipes Pinterest Integration

Taya Recipes may use the Pinterest API to connect an authorized Pinterest Business account to our internal publishing workflow.

The current Pinterest integration is intended for use by authorized Taya Recipes administrators. It is not designed to collect Pinterest passwords or provide unauthorized access to other people’s accounts.

Pinterest Information We May Access

Depending on the permissions approved by Pinterest and authorized through Pinterest OAuth, the integration may access:

  • The authorized Pinterest account identifier;
  • Basic account or profile information;
  • Boards and board sections owned or managed by the authorized account;
  • Pins belonging to the authorized account;
  • Pin publication status;
  • Pin and account analytics where permitted; and
  • Other information required to provide the approved publishing functionality.

We request only the permissions reasonably necessary for the integration’s active features.

How We Use Pinterest Information

Pinterest information is used only to:

  • Display available Taya Recipes boards to an authorized administrator;
  • Create Pins for recipes owned and published by Taya Recipes;
  • Add approved images, titles, descriptions, and destination links to Pins;
  • Confirm whether a selected Pin was published successfully;
  • Avoid accidental duplicate publication;
  • Manage Pins belonging to Taya Recipes when authorized; and
  • Review analytics for Taya Recipes’ own Pins where permitted.

A Pin is published only after an authorized Taya Recipes administrator has selected or approved that specific recipe and Pin content.

The integration is not designed to automatically follow accounts, send messages, create comments, generate artificial engagement, scrape Pinterest, or take actions that the authorized administrator did not intend.

Pinterest Authentication

Pinterest accounts are connected through Pinterest’s official OAuth authorization process.

Taya Recipes does not:

  • Ask users to provide their Pinterest password;
  • Collect Pinterest session cookies;
  • Use scraped login information;
  • Attempt to bypass Pinterest authorization;
  • Sell information received from Pinterest;
  • Share Pinterest API information with advertising data brokers; or
  • Use Pinterest information to target advertising outside Pinterest.

OAuth access and refresh tokens may be stored securely while the authorized connection remains active. They are used only to authenticate permitted Pinterest API requests.

Pinterest Data Storage

Taya Recipes does not create a permanent local database containing Pinterest profiles, boards, or Pins retrieved from the API.

Where possible, current information is requested from Pinterest when it is needed. We may retain:

  • OAuth credentials required to maintain the authorized connection;
  • Internal records showing that Taya Recipes attempted or completed publication;
  • Pinterest Pin identifiers associated with our own published recipes;
  • Security and error logs; and
  • Campaign analytics where storage is permitted by Pinterest.

Pinterest information is not combined with information from unrelated Pinterest users or sold to third parties.

Disconnecting Pinterest and Deleting Data

An authorized user may revoke Taya Recipes’ access through their Pinterest account settings.

Please include enough information to identify the connected Pinterest account, such as the Pinterest username or account email. Do not send your Pinterest password.

After a verified request or disconnection, we will delete or disable the relevant OAuth credentials and associated stored Pinterest information within 30 days, unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with law.

Revoking access does not automatically delete Pins that were already intentionally published to Pinterest. Those Pins can be deleted directly from the Pinterest account or through an authorized Taya Recipes management feature where available.

5. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website;
  • Publish and improve recipes;
  • Respond to questions and support requests;
  • Moderate comments and prevent spam;
  • Provide requested newsletters or communications;
  • Understand how visitors use the website;
  • Diagnose technical problems;
  • Measure website and content performance;
  • Display and measure advertising;
  • Maintain records of consent and privacy preferences;
  • Protect our rights, users, and systems;
  • Comply with legal obligations; and
  • Operate authorized Pinterest or Google integrations.

We do not use Pinterest API data or Google API user data for purposes unrelated to the feature for which access was granted.

We request only permissions needed for the active feature.

We do not sell Google API user data or use it for personalized advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or unrelated purposes.

Taya Recipes’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Ordinary visitors are not required to connect a Google account to read recipes on Taya Recipes.

10. Comments and Spam Prevention

When visitors leave comments, we may collect the information entered in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser information.

This information may be processed by anti-spam and website-security services.

Comments may be publicly visible after approval. Do not include private or sensitive information in a public comment.
